This method is explained in test_cvmat_imageprocessing.rb. Works great, will keep me busy for the next few days. Happy coding!

Re: Detecting objects in a photograph with opencv part 2

This is awesome, any luck trying to find custom images within a picture? Or is this strictly for detecting eyes, faces, and entire bodies? I've been working on transferring some of my old OpenCV code from c++ to ruby and this is one task that isn't proving easy. It doesn't seem the good old 'MatchTemplate' function that i know and love from opencv has a counterpart in ruby-opencv.

Re: The Super Top 10 Quality Code Guidelines

"Don't re-invent the wheel," IF and only IF you are allowed to use that code (e.g. using GPL in a commercial closed source product).

Re: ‘Source Code’ as I interpreted it. I also like how there's a kind of a mutual Turing Test going on between Colter and Goodwin. 'Source Code' simulated a lot of movies in snippets - 'Minority Report', '12 Monkeys', 'Inception', 'Groundhog Day', 'Existenz' and even a little 'Primer' - and I thought it did so very nicely. I don't know if any of this was intentional, but that's the nice thing about simulations; it doesn't matter if they happen by purpose or chance. Check out a novel by Greg Egan called 'Permutation City'.
